What is a crypto technical analysis screener?
A screener reads the same indicators across many assets at once, so you can see which coins are setting up without opening a chart for each one. DexAlert reads eight indicators — RSI, MACD, EMA 9/21, Bollinger Bands, VWAP, Stochastic RSI, ADX and volume — on 30-minute, 1-hour and 4-hour candles for 85+ crypto assets, and shows the result as a single grid per coin.
Which indicators and timeframes does DexAlert cover?
Eight indicators on three timeframes for every coin: RSI, MACD, EMA 9/21, Bollinger Bands, VWAP, Stochastic RSI, ADX and volume, each read on 30m, 1h and 4h. A coin is called bullish or bearish only when the grid agrees across timeframes, rather than on a single indicator firing.
How does the strategy backtester work?
You define entry and exit rules — for example, enter when RSI is below 30 and MACD turns bullish, exit at 5% take-profit or 3% stop-loss — and the backtester replays them against up to 24 months of hourly or 4-hourly history. It reports trade count, win rate, expectancy per trade, maximum drawdown and every individual trade, net of a 0.5% round-trip cost. Open positions are excluded rather than closed at an assumed price.
What is the Strategy Finder?
The Strategy Finder searches roughly 200 rule combinations per timeframe on a coin and reports the ones that survived out-of-sample testing. Rules are selected on the first 70% of the coin’s history, then replayed on the final 30% the search never saw. Both windows are shown separately, because a strategy that only performs on the window it was chosen from has learned the past rather than the market.
